Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victim witnesses within court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded several grants and has been honored with numerous international and national distinctions. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
